Greenwashing

Greenwashing is a promotional lie to much of the population of people who are convinced that the thing they are using and buying is healthier than anything else and that the product is green which as such would help the community and for a healthier life. The way they do this is that they stretch the truth by adding a promotional cover up to hide their indecent trade to favour them mainly for business and money.

Some businesses are genuinely committed to making the world a better, greener place. But for too many other businesses, environmentalism is little more than a convenient slogan. Buy our products, they say, and you will end global warming, improve air quality, and save the oceans. At best these statements stretch the truth and at worst they help conceal corporate behaviour that is environmentally harmful by any means.

Gavin Lucas

This is part of Gavin Lucas' work on 'The Layzell Brothers'. This is his work in the creative review of which he has been rewarded by the front cover for his illustration for a 60s psychedelia-influenced film for Adam Buxton. This is his article in te creative review.

I really like this work due to its unique quirky affect on the work and really matches Adam Buxtons work. I also like the sharp colours and the use of patterns.

Animation of our choice

The Toy Story saga goes on still and is part of my childhood. I have chosen it due to this and have thoroughly enjoyed this throughout my childhood. I enjoy many animations now such as many viral ones such as 'Family Guy', 'Simpsons' and many more I also enjoy amateur animation on youtube such as 'asd movies' and many other randomly funny creations. I enjoy animations due to there desire of being a crowd pleaser and much of the time use of personification where it is thought that the characters are living things such as in Toy Story where the characters are toys of which surely can not be real.

Many animations are used to show a creative way of visual performance with a hope that people will appreciate there work as an art from rather than a cheep giggle.
Other animations can be used to show there political views and other views on certain things.

I enjoy animations because they are easy to understand and relate to and help me receive many ideas for creativity.

Animations have come a long way and have changed a lot not now for kids animations are probably the one of the biggest producers for TV nowadays.

Product Design

This a great product design that many people will know of and probably use day in day out. Mouses are used for the common computer and should fit your hand in order for its primary use the search, click and use the computer. This in particular mouse is ergonomically made for great comfort and use for the user. It's unique shape and design fit with the average hand to make sure of complete comfort with use and ensure a non long term affect of use of the product towards the hands development.

Other things that are made purposely are taken as a natural thing nowadays due to there being a current need for complete comfort and max use and potential for users. the chair is a good example for it having a supporting back when in use and usually a comforting layer or cushion.

I in particularly like the ergonomics of a iPhone due to it being able to fit easily into someones hand and the thumb to be able to reach every part of the screen on the iPhone.

Book covers designed by Penguin Books

The design of these book covers incorporate a landmark or trait of a particular city such as the 'Leaning tower of Pisa', the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the 'big red bus' of London. The use of one of the letters to make an image stand out from the others makes this piece easy to the eye, yet show how the letter looks or portrays and image iconic to the place and shows a simple use of design to move the letters and change the shape and length and angle. The change in colour also makes the images more understandable.

I really like these book covers because its so simple yet many people would never have thought to have done so, it uses simple colours laid out on a blank page to clearly have the full affect of the tittle.

Cover designs are probably the hardest thing for designers to design because it should show the heart and the soul of the book in one single image. Amazing book cover designs make us think, laugh, cry, smile, or contemplate about life. We all know that in the past 75 years, Penguin has created some of the most iconic book covers in history. They've pretty much covered everything in literature. Such as old classics like 'Sherlock Holmes', 'Robin Hood' and many others.

Peter Saville's CD cover for suade

I believe ten steps to this piece of work were;
I think that the first step was too get appropriate models for the cover and photograph,
after that create a suitable background for the style in 1996, he did this by probably using the gradient tool on photoshop,
he would have also added another layer for the background for the black.
After that he would have probably used the gradient tool probably to make the model women rainbow coloured.
But probably during this the photo shoppers had to merge other images taken such as the front woman and the man of which have been adapted from different images.
Also from the original photo there are boxes underneath the bad as a stand and have been taken out by using the lasso tool.
I think he would of taken the photo of the man in colour and then thought that changing the contrast of the picture, he would of done this by selecting the image and editing the colour of it on the 'image' selection.
When Saville had created the image he would of got to the part of incorporating the text, first he would have chosen a type face that the band had chosen already and would have used for there career, the other piece of text was developed by the pen/pencil tool probably last minute to show the CD cover name.
